I'm recreating my website on a new server.. on a fresh Joomla 3.4.5 install. I've got all the jos_user data moved across just fine....

Next I want to migrate my EasySocial installation... So far I've just copied all the media/com_easysocial files across.

I think I have two jobs left... (1) Install EasySocial component on the new site... (2) Copy ES DB tables from old site to new site.

My question is, does it matter which order I do these 2 things in? Install component then move ES tables across, or move ES tables across and then install component?

Thanks if you can advise!
Hi Andy,

I think I have two jobs left... (1) Install EasySocial component on the new site... (2) Copy ES DB tables from old site to new site. My question is, does it matter which order I do these 2 things in? Install component then move ES tables across, or move ES tables across and then install component?

Regarding the above, are you installing the same version as in your old site? If yes, I believe its doesn't matter which steps you perform 1st but I do adjust you to copy the db tables to your new site first and then install EasySocial on your new site

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Thanks Sam... Yes it was latest version to latest version. I did the DB tables first as you advised.. seemed to go perfectly
