The quickest way, is to export the database tables that has the prefix of #__discuss to your main site's database and then install EasyDiscuss on the main site

Thank you so much for your support.
I exported/imported the tables back to the main site and installed JD.
It all seems ok, except.. the users are all mixed up. I guess this is due to the fact that joomla users have different id's in these two sites.
Do you know of a way to index the correct user id's. Say, table like:
email, user_id_before, user_id_after
To use as a kind of reference to correct the user ids.

Hm, this is going to be tricky. How many users are there? There is no way to automate this and you need to run the sql via phpmyadmin
