Hi,
as Mark asked me on my last ticket here I am to open a new ticket about micro data.
I'd like to inform you that on the 2.0 version of Komento there is not the micro data information on the total ratings.
I use Komento to review some rental holiday homes; so, for me, it is important to have micro data of the total stars of the rewies..
On Komento 2.0 I had modified the file ratings.php like you can see on my attached file
Don't you think it is a good idea give micro data also on the total ratings and also on the Komento 3.0?
Thanks a lot
My best regards
Thanks Tony, I have created a ticket internally and the next version should have these micro data for ratings as well.

Hi Mark,
Just today I've discovered the new release with the microdata integration.
So, I've immediately update but, I'm sorry, there are two errors.
The first one is on Comment
The second one is on AggregateRating
You can see what i mean by this url
https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gmonamour.it%2Fgli-appartamenti%2Fponente
Do you think your are going to fix that in a day or couple of days?
Otherwise I downgrade to my old Komento 2.0 untill the new release
Thanks a lot
My best regards

If you have not enough time I can fix it by myself.
Could you tell me the file where the microdata are created?
Thanks

Hello Tony,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the admin and ftp access to the site so that I could directly modify these values on the site?

Hi,
sure, I've just sent them via your contact form.
But, anyway, I need to know the file where is created the AggregateRating because I use Komento to review some rental holiday homes, as I said, and I need to have the AggregateRting into an itemtype=LodgingBusiness.
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Hello Tony,

I believe the issue here is the review type. There is no way for Komento to know what is the type of item that appears on the page and within your Joomla template, you will need to add the microdata on the page.

The microdata for ratings can be found in /components/com_komento/themes/wireframe/ratings/overall.php

Hi,
Ok, I'm going to work on the AggregateRating into an itemtype=LodgingBusiness.
Could you fix the issue on Comment (there is an URL error)
Thanks a lot

Hi,
I've just fixed the AggregateRating. Now there is not error and advise.
Now there is only the error on Comment.

Looks like Google requires a valid url link for the author and since the links doesn't link anywhere, I have removed the micro data on the user's link. The errors are no longer there now.

Hi,
I've update Komento and the issue is still there!
Why didn't you fix the issue on the new release?
Could you tell me where is the itemprop=url? I mean what is the file; so I'm going to fix by my self.
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Hello Tony,

Hm, strange this was already fixed internally and somehow it got reset. You can find them at the following locations:

/components/com_komento/themes/wireframe/html/name.php
/components/com_komento/themes/wireframe/helpers/user/avatar.php

Can you try both of these files and see if the errors are removed?

I suppose you gave me the not fixed files because on both there is itemprop="url".
But never mind, I've fixed it by myself.
Do you think to fix it on the next release or have I to remember to fix by myself on every release?
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Hello Tony,

In that files which I have sent, it would only add the itemprop="url" if the user is a member. Do you mean it isn't working?

Hi,
yes, with your 2 files there is always the issue with itemprop="url".
I've just delete it and the issue is gone.

Hello Tony,

You can't actually just delete the itemprop="url" because those are property for the author of the comment. If the comment author has a website or profile link to a particular profile system, these are identifiers used in the micro data.

Can you please provide us with the access again so that I can see why is these data still being generated on the site? I would need:

1. The ftp access
2. Admin access
3. The link to the page that has this issue

Hello Tony,

Okay, I see the problem now. It's related to the file /components/com_komento/themes/wireframe/html/name.php . I have fixed this internally as well.
