I replaced the template echo with vanilla. As I mentioned in a request (https://stackideas.com/forums/menu-bar-for-group-page-event-view), I wish that the menu bar for the group, event, profile , etc. uses the whole width on a desktop screen.
In the demo for Vanilla I saw that this has already been done.
So that I can reproduce the demo version, I would have to know how to do that. Please advice.
Regards,
Martin
Hey Martin,

This really isn't a vanilla thing, but rather it is something that we changed in the latest version of EasySocial. The problem is because there are too many links in the header and on lower screen resolutions, it is really problematic

The demo that you see runs on an older version of EasySocial, but if we update EasySocial to the latest version on Vanilla's demo, it will also group up applications too.

Hi Mark
I understand. Is there a possibility that the system will notice, depending on the screen resolution, how many links can be displayed on the line?

Hey Martin,

Hm, there's a limitation of what PHP scripts could do It can never detect the screen size but with javascript, it would be possible. However, using javascript isn't an ideal solution either because you will get very jumpy effects

Hi Mark
The presentation of the menu entries on a notebook or desktop computer screen I find still not ideally solved. Would it be possible to display the menu entries in a slide bar - as Google has solved in the image search? see the screenshot
Could this be a solution?
Best regards,
Martin

Hey Martin,

We actually tried this with EasySocial 2.0 but it's pretty heavy in terms of performance. We'll see what we can do to address this in the next release.
