Hello

I’m working on creating a new membership page. When you click login it directs you to the normal membership page.

Q1. How would i update where users are directed to if they click sign up in the blue toolbar?

Currently when users click sign it go to a page with the options to login or register.

Once new memberships page is active all users that click signup will see registration page to start filling out their info.

I want to direct users to upgrade location.

Q2. If users want to upgrade should I direct them to their profile page to see option or do they need to go somewhere different?
Hi Leo,

Q1: Can you provide me the link of the page where the blue toolbar is located?

Q2: What options are you referring to? If you are referring to the plan selection page, then yes they have to be redirected to subscribe page in PayPlans.

Hello

Sign up is viewable in toolbar on any page on website.

Memberships Page is not finished yet but this would be the location of memberships page which would also allow you to see signup in toolbar.

Link: https://thebullyplanet.com/component/sppagebuilder/26-memberships

I have 3 options for memberships for example if you click signup you’re directed to subscribe page.

If member is logged in they would have to go to the subscription page also which is the attachment or could they go somewhere different?

I believe if the user is already logged in, clicking on subscribe button on any of the plans should directly bring the user to the payment area.

Ok, just to confirm.

When user click signup they will go to subscribe page

Link: https://www.thebullyplanet.com/component/payplans/plan/subscribe

Could I use a custom url when you push signup or could I remove that signup button and replace with another to direct to different location?

Hey Leo,

Based on the screenshot that you provide, the 'sign up' button link can be modified/hard-coded.

The file is located at JoomlaFolder/templates/office/html/mod_easysocial_dropdown_menu/default.php http://take.ms/t5q40

Hey Leo,
How do I remove the login & signup from the top
The login and signup link is from EasySocial dropdown module. If you want to remove this module from that position, you can unpublished the appropriate module in the modules section(http://take.ms/TPSxN).
then replace with the signup option that was created in the menu?
You can place a custom module in that position with the link inside: http://take.ms/mxxlL
If yes would the topesmenu position be the correct location?
Yes that is the correct position.

Hello

I made changes to the EasySocial dropdown module to not display login or sign up. (1st Attachment)

Due to me having sp page builder I used the button icon to make new login and sign up option. (2nd Attachment mobile & 3rd desktop)

If your on the community page or you scroll to bottom of page you'll see option to login or register now. (3rd & 4th Attachment)

link: https://www.thebullyplanet.com/community

Can I change the default registration location for site so users will not be able to see old page?

From: https://www.thebullyplanet.com/component/payplans/plan/subscribe
To: https://www.thebullyplanet.com/membership-options

Hey Leo,

If you are referring to this(http://take.ms/4G5vx), then to change the registration url, you would have to template override the following file and hardcode your registration url.
http://take.ms/oGkQb

For the registration link on community page, this is the file: http://take.ms/AKjxS

Hello

I had to start using default version of membership page because when they go to new membership page theirs a error.

When you click the sign up button located in the menu your directed to new page: https://thebullyplanet.com/membership-options

Then if you try to create new page you'll run into one of these error messages.

Hey Leo,
Then if you try to create new page you'll run into one of these error messages
Are you referring to the 'please login' message?

I noticed that two of the plans requires 'special' access(https://www.screencast.com/t/5iqKbw2jg). This means that guest users will not be able to access them, which is why you are seeing the message.

Perhaps you can change them to 'Public' and see how it goes? The free membership page have public access, which is why the system is able to redirect properly(https://www.screencast.com/t/yptI36hfc).

Hey Leo,

Just to confirm, are the urls on the page https://thebullyplanet.com/membership-options hardcoded?

The reason I ask is because I noticed the urls contain 'www', which will potentially cause issue if the site is accessed from a non 'www' version. The same goes to accessing a non 'www' url from the 'www' version of the site.

I would suggest that you make your site use a single version so you can hardcode the urls without worrying whether to use www or not.

Another thing I noticed is that the middle plan contains the url: https://www.thebullyplanet.com/component/payplans/plan/login/1?Itemid=861

When I checked the menu item 861, it is actually linked to plan ID 9(https://www.screencast.com/t/XytZhk49M2SP). So you should change the url accordingly.

No its not, It was created using menu item type: https://thebullyplanet.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_menus&view=item&client_id=0&layout=edit&id=1321

Im unsure how to hardcode the urls, at the moment, do you have some instructions?

I saw a option that allows me to group plans, on the gold membership group it don't display a price & i didn't see a option to add one that would display big like the Free plan. The goal would be $14.99 then replace Recurring Plan with Starting price

Hey Leo,

It appears that the page is created by page builder and the link is also hardcoded. You can edit the links by editing the respective elements on the page in page builder(https://www.screencast.com/t/ZvOUVaH0l).

Then scroll down to the part where you see the button link(https://www.screencast.com/t/1Ssx7xLXbZRL).
The goal would be $14.99 then replace Recurring Plan with Starting price
Do you mean like this(https://www.screencast.com/t/7ESfIpbs)? You can change the 'Reoccuring Plans' by editing the teaser text of the group(https://www.screencast.com/t/BEOy3sowot).
