Greetings,

There are 2 issues, both relating to location services I will assume. First from the Dashboard, the Members Worldwide starts to populate with the map then greys out and gives an error.

See Screenshot

Opening the JavaScript console shows the following:
js?sensor=true&callback=cb04298…&language=en:37 Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error_.hb @ js?sensor=true&callback=cb04298…&language=en:37
maps.google.com/maps-api-v3/api/js/25/12/util.js:210 Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys
maps.google.com/maps-api-v3/api/js/25/12/util.js:210 Google Maps API warning: SensorNotRequired https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#sensor-not-required

I do have an API key, see screenshot. Additionally I have tried Foursquare and Google Places, they all produce the same error above.

The second issue and I'm sure it's related to this, when you add anything, (new user, event location, etc.) if you hit [Detect my location] or key in the location nothing happens. The progress bars in the location box run; but the location never populates.

This was working before I upgraded from 1.4.10 to 1.4.11.

Thanks,
Bill
This is my current IP address : 175.145.128.139

The reason why these google map didn't populate correctly is because Google already changed their Google map rules MUST register an API key in order to make this work, but our current Google map script URL didn't include the API key, so it not work now, I will try apply some fix in your site once you add my IP address into your white list.

Regarding this [Detect my location] , if you using chrome browser, Google required the website MUST support SSL/https so only can make this [Detect my location] work.

I am sorry that it seems like your last reply already yesterday night 12.34am, I already went to sleep.

Can you add my current IP address : 175.145.128.183 again into your server white list so that I can able to access your backend?

I am the webhost provider. I have changed the permissions. You can also change them using the Component [Profiles] from the backend.

Hey Bill,

It seems like you only changed that `interactive.php` file permission, actually both files I also need to edit and other Easyblog file as well, but now only work `static.php`.

Easyblog folder structure :
- administrator/components/com_easyblog
- components/com_easyblog
- media/com_easyblog
- media/foundry

Yes, actually I need to access your site backend (http://yourdomain.org/administrator) but it keep redirect to your homepage, may i know is it you have blocked other IP address to access it? Is it temporary disable that restriction so that I can access it?

Hi Arlex,

OK all the folders have been CHMOD'd for you. BTW, my issues were with EasySocial Locations not the blog.

Hey Bill,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've help you update another Google map server key in your backend, because your previous API key hitting this following warning :

The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/static_maps_backend?project=

I already help you create another new API key and activated, it seems work fine now.

Can you give it a check?
