I have registration set up to self-confirm and avoid having to manually approve everyone, but there are people who end up in he EasySocial pending area and i cannot work out why.

It does not happen to everyone, it used to be the odd one but is now more fequent, could you check what is happening please, i have two people sitting in pending and perhaps that may help to trace the problem.
Hi Richard,

I've tried to register into your site seems like the registration was not go into the pending state
refer this video: https://www.screencast.com/t/2jiwGyOf
After I'm receive the email activation and activate my account, now I'm able to login into the site without any admin approval https://www.screencast.com/t/8AqMsUol

Ok, i correctly received 3 emails when you registered and (possibly correctly) two when the pending users registered, but from a different auto-sender name within the site.

I think what is happening is if (as i assume you did), you registered through the normal login process, everything is fine, but if (as i assume the two pending users did) you register through the newsletter option at the bottom of the website home page, the process goes straight to pending in EasySocial.

If you sign up through the Newsletter with another username/password it would confirm it and a solution could be identified (unless you already have a solution from my above explanation of what i think is happening).

Ref last post, what i mean is EasySocial is set as the default for registration and AcyMailing is linked to that process, so anyone subscribing to the newsletter is created as a Joomla user, but for some reason they go to the 'pending moderation' area in EasySocial.

Hello Richard,

If the user goes through the registration process of Acymailing, it depends on how Acymailing is creating the user. If they are directly creating the user in Joomla, then there isn't any way for us to stop that from happening.

I understand Mark, thank you, that is what is happening, how do I need to create the user in AcyMailing to allow it to work properly?

Because if the user registers via EasySocial, we get to "alter" the behavior of the registration since we have control over how the user is created in Joomla.

If Acymailing relies on Joomla, I guess they are most likely reading the configuration from Joomla User. Try settings this in the user's extension, http://take.ms/mvxzw . It would be best to get in touch with Acymailing to see if they can respect EasySocial's registration settings though.

Thank you Mark, I already have the user setting set to Self, so have just emailed AcyMailing asking them to respect EasySocial registration settings.

They should be able to as AcyMailing integration with Stackideas products is available and i am using the Enterprise edition.

Sorry to open this again, i just received an answer from Acyba support with this question:

"Can you tell me how did you configure EasySocial membership? DId you set that users are automatically confirmed or do you need an approval from the admin?"

Where can i find this?

Hi Richard,

"Can you tell me how did you configure EasySocial membership? DId you set that users are automatically confirmed or do you need an approval from the admin?"

-> As the configuration that you've setup in the EasySocial, as user sign up into the site, an activation code has been send out to the user's mailbox and activate by themselves (user activation) without go through admin approval
