Regarding your questions:
1. Attribute alt not allowed on element input at this point.
You can go to this file: ...\modules\mod_easydiscuss_welcome\tmpl\default.php and find this code:

alt="<?php echo JText::_( 'MOD_EASYDISCUSS_WELCOME_REMEMBER_ME' );?>"

and remove it. By the way, where do you find this error because I can't replicate this issue with our local?

2. some of the letters in the word "Profile" are only partly showing
>> It seems like it is because of your template is putting "some triangle". You can see it in this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/UiwhlqLlU . Can you try put this css override in your current Joomla template and see if this resolves your issue.
