In kind words...you really need to get these upgrade issues ironed out. This new installation system.... is very poor. Trying to fix a different issue, which I am hoping an update will fix, however having to contact support every time I need to upgrade is not a good use of my time or yours.

I need to upgrade easyblog to the latest version.
hey Richard,

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

I have tried to access in your site but hitting `Protected Area`, can you provide us with this security credential as well?

hey Richard,

it seems like hitting memory limit issue,
<b>Fatal error</b>: Out of memory (allocated 25165824) (tried to allocate 18388309 bytes) in <b>/homepages/43/d285594462/htdocs/administrator/components/com_easyblog/setup/controllers/install.download.php</b> on line <b>151</b><br />

can you request with your webhosting provider to help you increase these few php value from your server?
memory_limit = 256M
post_max_size 128M

We will try again once you done it

My comp is turned off already, but it is controlled via a local php.ini folder to override the global settings. We had made those changes last time, log in via FTP and you can see the php file in the root Joomla install folder.

To alter the Joomla admin I have added a trimmed down php.ini file to the administrator folder which now is displaying properly under php settings in Joomla. So I'm not sure what we would have to change it to, as the install still fails.

Hey Richard,

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

Yes, that was strange is because whatever I changed memory_limit value, it still show out the same memory bytes error:
<b>Fatal error</b>: Out of memory (allocated 25165824) (tried to allocate 18388309 bytes) in <b>/homepages/43/d285594462/htdocs/administrator/components/com_easyblog/setup/controllers/install.download.php</b> on line <b>151</b><br />

By right it should show different when I increase the memory limit.

May i know do you using share hosting or?

Is there a way consult with your Webhosting provider regarding this what is the maximum memory limit you can set to?

1&1 hosting, they do not change global php settings it all has to be controlled with the local ini files. (official response when we were doing the original install of easy blog 5 - http://stackideas.com/forums/installer-stuck)

Hey Richard,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

That was strange I've tried install from directory but it still failed. So I manually upload some of the latest script file in your site, your site is work now.

Can you give it a try now? By the way, your hosting already confirm with you can't increase the php value from global setting in php.ini ?
