hi there,
now I am getting to the final stage and some more questions:
1.)
I am using the EasyBlog - Latest Blogs Module to show my blog frontpage.
1A: Display Teasertext in frontpage layout view:
I understand that the blogsystem is cutting text after "n" characters of any Text in the blog. I can add the maximum of characters in this frontpage layout view|Featured|Maximum Content (Characters) BUT I also can add the max. characters in the mod_easybloglatestblogs|Post attributes|Truncate Post To (Characters)
What is the right place for me to add the max. char. I dont get it?

1B: If the first text field in the blog is less then the maximum of characters, the system check the blog entry for the next characters. Correct? How can I "tell" the system NOT to look after the next characters?
Some blog entries will have a shorter teaser!

2.)
Custom Fields
I add custom group/fields = ok
They are displayed at the end of the blog.
Is it possible to display this custom fields somewhere else, at an individual place in the blog article(like joomla fields)?

I hope you understand my questions:-)
Regards
Klaus
Hi klaus,

The "frontpage layout view|Featured|Maximum Content (Characters)" is actually for the featured slider(which show featured posts) http://take.ms/uKh2U

This would be the right place to set the truncation for posts in the module: mod_easybloglatestblogs|Post attributes|Truncate Post To (Characters)
How can I "tell" the system NOT to look after the next characters?
Some blog entries will have a shorter teaser!
You can specify a point in the blog post to place a readmore tag/block(built-in composer: http://take.ms/ndIyf).

2) You can template override the blog entry theme file to change the position of the custom field in blog entry pages(as long as it's outside of the content).

If you mean moving it into the content like blocks, then this is not possible currently.
