Hey,
We have recently open the "lockdown" of our website, and we have now a few pages that are available publicly (without logging in),
Is there any way to have a special mark / color for these pages, that users will aware that it is a public page?
Hi there,

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it is not possible to achieve this yet in EasySocial. But we do show users regarding Pages types as you can see here http://take.ms/y7i8l and http://take.ms/PSwuE.

Perhaps it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request" so that everyone else could vote for it. We will prioritise this feature during the development process for the next major version of EasySocial if there are more people request on this.

Thanks for your understanding.

ok, i understand.
And if it is a public page, does it mean that everything that will be commented there will be public as well, or it depends on the user settings...?

Yes, that is correct. If it is a public page, everything posted on the page would be visible to public users

Is there any way to select a page (or a group) to be available to access by "registered users" only ?

Unfortunately that is not possible to achieve this.

What i can think of is change the group/page type to closed, so public user unable to access this group inside the content, in order to access this group, they have to become a member first.

Sorry, not sure I understand. The options for Groups is just Public and then Private or Invite only, both of which would mean that a registered user would not be able to join a group directly. It seems an odd design that when I post something I can select between Public or Registered users, but a group or page can't be set that way and also not good that non-members can see the list of members of a group unless its set to Private. Perhaps as a minimum it could work like Facebook groups in that even public ones don't let non logged in users see the member list?

The current group privacy behaviour is respect what group type you choose.

Imagine if I created an invite group, and then system also allow user to set their stream privacy to public, is it system should show this public stream item to everyone? If that is the case, mean everyone will be know this invite group exist on the site, and it violating invite group meaning.

Perhaps as a minimum it could work like Facebook groups in that even public ones don't let non logged in users see the member list?

As long as that is the public user group, public user can able to see everything included member list.
If you would like to restrict the access only this member list page, it required some of the customisation work in order to achieve this.

Okay thanks - seems like a major omission not to have the same options (Public, Registered users etc) so will put it in the feature request section.
