Hello

Is there a facility to set a time limit for marketplace listings?

There is a common problem where a listing is posted and then forgotten about even though it may have been sold etc.

I have come across other systems where the listing is de-activated after a set period where the owner is notified and has to re-publish if needed which I think is a good idea.

David
I looked all over and found no feature to limit listings to 30 days, and then they expire. The only workaround I have figured out is to go to -

Administator>Components>EasySocial>Settings>Dashboard>Marketplace>Items

And then set any listing over, say, 30 days to unpublished.

Yes, it is manual, and I can see it being a pain if you have a busy site. But just checking on the same day once a month wouldn't be too bad if the site isn't that busy.

But yes, a setting where all listings over x days will go to unlisted automatically would be nice. If there is a way - I would like to know myself.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately currently there is no time limit feature for marketplace listings. The only way is to do it manually like Gary mentioned.

Hi All

Thanks for your responses and for your suggestion Gary.
I might try a query on the database to do this at set intervals.

it is a handy feature which I have used on dedicated classifieds systems.
I will add this as a feature request... You never know.

Regards
David

Just discovered a very similar function has been already listed as a feature request.

My bad for not checking there first!
