1. Translation strings for notifications related to polls inside events as well as groups are missing.

2. Widget for albums in events still shows uploader with "by" username.

Looks like this is a bug and it will be fixed in the next release.

3. Details for groups and events are hidden with a small link below saying 'More'.

This is not a bug. You did not translate the string COM_EASYSOCIAL_READMORE in the file /administrator/language/de-DE/de-DE.com_easysocial.ini

4. When in my albums and open a photo, there are several links on the upper side, one of them is saying "Feature This Photo"

Looks like this is a bug. This will be fixed on the next release.

It seems that your language installed was outdated as you can see here http://screencast.com/t/s35SpNXB. I have tested on my local, using latest version of Germany-DE language and it seems that it was fully translated as you can see here http://screencast.com/t/iCVJsB9pvibY. By the way, i have updated it to it latest version.

Or maybe you can check on this string "APP_EVENT_STORY_POLLS_CREATED_IN_EVENT" and see whether it translated or not.
Please give it a check and see how it goes.

thank you for your help. Unfortunately updating the language file is no option because the german translation file is the pure horror. It contains LOTS of spelling mistakes and gramatically errors. I have spent many hours in improving the language file and make it fit to my site. When a new ES2 update is there, I take the strings off the english file and translate them manually but in this case it does not work.

APP_EVENT_STORY_POLLS_CREATED_IN_EVENT is already translated. Meanwhile I managed to get to notifications with language debugged but as you can see, it did not help neither:

Based on "Grammatical/Mistakes" on it language, you can report it at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/easysocial/ as all those language is built at Transifex.com. Please advice.

I am afraid it is not hardcoded nor not translated. I have tested it on "Germany" latest version and using "German" language on my site, and it seems to works fine as you can see here http://screencast.com/t/ppXkLTOB. Maybe you can give it a try by updating your site language at Backend>Extension>language>Installed and updated it to latest version.

I am really sorry about making a translation problem so big but I do not get it. I have updated the language file to check this and the string is yet not translated. I have no idea what is going on there. Could you please check my dev site, logging in as Julia and check for all notifications: /community/benachrichtigungen. You will see the english ones which I can not get translated, no matter what I have tried so far.

Maybe you still seeing notifications of the older one, the one that still not translated.

Yep you are right. It is working now though it is a bit weird that those strings are not translated afterwards, which happens in all other cases. Nevertheless thank you for patience with my problem and helping me to solve this one.
