Hi,

I am thinking about buying the docker plugin but I think I do not get everything about it.

1. On your demo site the docker plugin is not on ED and EB but only on ES. Is this just a mistake or will the plugin only show up on ES sites all along the whole website?

2. Are the buttons and icons replacable? So i.e. I would like to replace the followers and pages links by with links to EB's and ED's main page.

3. The menu button at the docker plugin on mobile shows different links as there are on the profile button on a desktop. Like on mobile there is 'edit my profile' and on desktop there is a link 'profile' which goes directly to the own profile. Can I assume that the links are editable inside a php file or similar?

4. Will the plugin lay on my page or will it push the site downwards for exactly its height?

5. Is the search module inside the docker plugin a sitewide search or a ES search only?

6. Is it possible to make the plugin only appear on mobile?

7. Finally a suggestion: I think the space between search and lightning button looks wasted. Why not have the dropdowns from the toolbars all together there, I mean the gear-wheel dropdowns. Or asked another way round, is it possible to have these dropdowns in the empty area between search and lightning button? Or even better, is it possible to have a menu inside the docker plugin?
Hi Sabih,

Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

1. On your demo site the docker plugin is not on ED and EB but only on ES. Is this just a mistake or will the plugin only show up on ES sites all along the whole website?

The docker toolbar will be available across the site. You can refer to our easysocial 2 test site here, http://es2.stackideas.com and navigate to other component such as easyblog. By the way may I know which demo site you are referring to here?

2. Are the buttons and icons replacable? So i.e. I would like to replace the followers and pages links by with links to EB's and ED's main page.

Currently it is not possible to do so.

3. The menu button at the docker plugin on mobile shows different links as there are on the profile button on a desktop. Like on mobile there is 'edit my profile' and on desktop there is a link 'profile' which goes directly to the own profile. Can I assume that the links are editable inside a php file or similar?

Everything is editable through the php file but I believe you are referring to the mobile apps toolbar instead of docker toolbar. This is how the toolbar looks like when the site is being view through mobile, http://take.ms/CT2CwA . When mobile apps is enabled easysocial will use the apps toolbar instead of docker toolbar to avoid redundancy. Here how mobile apps toolbar looks like, http://take.ms/2amqP .

Do note that mobile apps is still in testing phase hence the layout might get changed in the future.

4. Will the plugin lay on my page or will it push the site downwards for exactly its height?

Yes it will slightly push the site downwards to avoid the docker from hiding certain site information that located at the very top.

5. Is the search module inside the docker plugin a sitewide search or a ES search only?

It using the same native easysocial toolbar search where it utilize joomla smart search.

6. Is it possible to make the plugin only appear on mobile?

Currently the docker will appear on any device unless you are using mobile apps in easysocial.

The reason why it was design like that is we want to keep the docker layout as simple and clean as possible without having too many cluttered items which will make it looks great for user that using small screen resolution.

Hope these help.

Thank you for your replay Ezrul

By the way may I know which demo site you are referring to here?

it is working now. I was checking the ES2 demosite and when I was playing around the docker plugin was not there for ED and EB but now it is working again.

Thanks for updating Sabih, we actually spent some time focusing on our support boards before doing anything on the demo sites
