Yes this is the default behavior of EasyDiscuss Unless you assign users as moderator of the category as moderator / admins would be able to mark it as resolved.

Ok, I did not assign any users or usergroup as moderator.
I found meanwhile how an creator of topic can set the topic to 'resolved'.

But how do I disable answering to this topic once it is set to 'resolved'.

And is it possible to close answering to a discussion without using the Q/A function?

Once a discussion is answered, the author of the post or the site admin will need to lock it.

This is I am asking for.
How does the author of the post lock it in on the frontend.
I did not find how.

Hm, looks like it's not possible for post owners to lock their own thread at this point of time.
