Hello,

I've got a client with a couple of staff members who need to add blog posts. We've got them set up in the Manager user group but they are unable to see easyblog in the Components drop-down.

I figured out how to get that to show up by going to EasyBlog -> Options -> Manager -> Access Administration Interface to Allowed. However, they still aren't able to access anything on the dashboard except the Documentation.

In the ACL button of EasyBlog -> Manager, it says that they can Write and Publish Entries. But how do they do this without having any means to add a post from the dashboard? Yes, under the Blogger button, they are set to Manager. When they try to do so, they get the error:

Error

You are not authorised to view this resource.

This cannot possibly be this difficult, can it? Or do I need them to be doing this on the frontend?

Thoughts?

jenn
Hello Jenn,

I've checked your site and seems like you didn't allow this option: http://screencast.com/t/URyVMuEyDMXW As you can see here, I've enabled it and Manager user can view the Blogs section. http://screencast.com/t/ZJ8yqB6I . Please have a look.

Hello Jenn,

If you have already allow it in EasyBlog -> Options -> Manager -> Access Administration Interface, it should allow the manager to access. Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here? Please advise.

Hi there,

Sure.

Note: if you change any files at all, please tell me which ones so that I can grab copies of them and avoid them being overriden. I can't imaging that you actually will need FTP.

I do have a test user set up for manager too with the name jenn. Feel free to change it up and use it or create a new one.

Thanks!!

Hey Nick,

I saw that but thought it meant "manage" as opposed to "add" and I should have checked it. Apologies and thank you so much for figuring it out for me!!!!!
