i've set up a ES category (let's say Alumni) and a group within called Alumni Group) which requires approval to join.

Is there a way to not show the Manage Group option inside the group page? I don't want group members to edit, unpublish or delete the group. Create discussion, announcement and album is ok. And if they do unpublish/delete are they only deleting themselves from the group or the whole group.
Hello John,

The members will not see the Manage Group button unless they are the admin of the group. You can check who is admin, promote to be an admin or remove admin in the Members listing in the backend>easysocial>groups. http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-11-25_1044-1.png

My test member wasn't marked as Admin in the location shown above but somehow he was promoted to Admin in the Joomla users list. In any case, once I changed that back to Registered Member, it's now working as expected. Thanks.

Hello John,

Hm, perhaps one of the profile type that you have is associated with the "Admin" Joomla user group? This is probably why the user is in the admin group?
