Hi

I would also let users close a discussion/ticket for a post they started. As now its only Stackideas that can do that and wouldnt it be good for Stackideas too so they can have a better control of open discussions/tickets?

Cheers!
We did allow this back then but some customers mistakenly closed their ticket and they blamed us for not providing support. Because of that, we built our own workflow in place to ensure that 100% of discussions are resolved and answered.

This is why the tools to mark a thread as close is limited to our moderators. This is also why you see we ensure that every ticket only consists of 1 issue / question to ensure quality control of our support.

Yes but we do not want our support quality to deteriorate just because a customer closes the ticket "accidentally"
