Hi guys

How do I go about making the site full width but still mobile responsive? We did a Joomla update and it removed the responsive full width code we had but I cannot get it to work again?

We need to add this code into the custom css so it doesn't ever get lost on updates.

See attached screenshot of how it used to look.

Thanks
Katie
Do you mean you would like to get rid of those right position thing (screenshot : http://take.ms/to0ei)?

By the way, is it possible for you update your site backend and FTP details at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

No, the screenshot I sent before is how I want it to look.

It currently looks like the attached screenshot, with two massive gaps on the left and right I want to KEEP the ads/pics on the right hand-side.

I don't want to add FTP because every time we add code to back-end files when we update we lose the changes!

Yes, if you apply those custom css into those template core file, it will always get override once you update your site Joomla version.

And this is totally is not we can control it because this container width is controlled by the template itself.

You can watch my video here : http://take.ms/P3Fw7 , i believe you can see this Joomla protostar template already hardcoded that width to 960px , this is why that layout didn't show the full width.

In order to achieve this, you can turn on this Fluid Layout setting to Fluid from your Protostar template, you can check my attached screenshot below.
