Hey there,

I am also looking for making results of the dating search module being sorted by last login as well as the global filter results. It would be very helpful for my site having all searches sorted by last login to show new members that there are other people around. At the moment the dating search module sorts by register date and shows oldest members first. This is very bad, because new members use the global filter and see people have not logged in for a long time, because the oldest members do not return at all. As a result they delete their account just 1 minute after creation.

But no matter how hard I have tried, I could not find the related files. Could you assist me or maybe give me a hint which files to start looking for these things?
Hey sabih,

My above suggested code is not correct, can you try download my attached 2 files and replace into your development side and see how it goes? This fix will follow back the advanced search setting from backend, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/users.php
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/views/users/view.html.php

hey Sabih,

it seems like default system do not have apply any sorting for it, if you would like to customise it, you can modify on this file -> JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/models/search.php

// Add this code LINE 492
$query .= " order by u.`lastvisitDate` desc";

Hi Arlex,

I see, so I was just unlucky to have it shown with the latest logins and latest registration on top. Nevertheless it is working now, thank you for your help.

Hey Sabih,

Regarding with my above fix is not the proper fix, those fix will not included in next release version.

Because I've discussed with our developer regarding this again, the advanced search and dating search module is actually totally different, so the dating search module shouldn't refer for the advanced search default sorting setting from backend.

By the way, we will consider to add an option for default sorting in Dating search module, so you can select which default sorting you want to apply on your dating search module.

You're welcome Sabih, you actually no need keep my above fix file, because our developers will implement a setting from the dating search module, so you can configure it from there.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
