Hi,

I am using EasyBlog to allow front end users to create "Events" (which are actually just blogs).

I have modified it so that the publish date is the event start date, and the unpublish date is the event end date.

Is it possible to make the publish and unpublish fields on the dashboard write page required so that users are forced to enter these details - just like the title field is required and a pop-up window displays to prompt users to add a title.

This would be very helpful for me.

Thanks very much,

Ian
Hi Ian,

Here I have attached to you a file, can you try download it and put it here: /components/com_easyblog/themes/dashboard/system/dashboard.write.php . Please give this a try and see how it goes. By the way, please do backup the original file as if you want to revert back the changes. Also please do remind that this is a customization and it will not be available in the future releases.

Hope this helps and please advise.

Hi,

Thanks very much.

1. I am using EasyBlog 3.9.24862. Will this customisation be compatible?

2. I have already modified the dashboard.write.php file, so are you able to point out which lines you have changed so I don't lose all my customisation?

Thanks again,

Ian

Hello lan,

The customization should be compatible with version 3.9.24862 and the modified line is located at line 177 until 197.
