Currently if you have onesignal web push enables on your easy blog a user will get a pop up message asking the user if they would like to get web push notfications from easyblog. Once they accept this they will then receive a web push when a new blog post is made.

issues

This causes issues when you use Komento. With komento you have to subscribe to comments to get notifications, however if you use the same app for komento and easyblog as soon as you are subscribed to a single comment thread you will also receive the new blogs post web pushges.

Solutions

  • make users enable a subscription on easyblog to receive the new blog post updates. this is seperate to authorizing webpushes
  • use a seperate app for both komento and easyblog.

Conclusion

Enable the extra subscription step in easyblog to allow the mutiple use of the webapp not only in komento and easyblog.
This is the same when you are using the ES and EB together. If you subscribe for community then, you will receive the blog post too but, as a user, is possible to want to receive only the community notification and the article not

Tahts the problem. EB and ES are using the 'broadcast to full list' option, it should be using a subscriber list.

This article now means that Stackideas will have to make subscription a mandatory thing shortly.
