Hi,

it is more a basic question than a specific problem. To solve a problem with JReviews I have to make all users to editors instead of registered. So my question is, when I make all settings inside the Stackideas components for editors the same as for registered, is there any difference left that I can not change within the rights options? Of course I do not want users to have more rights as registered inside ES EB ED and Komento.
Hm, I don't think it is advisable to make everyone an "Editor" by default because most extensions when installed by default has elevated permissions as compared to the standard "Registered users"

Having said that, if you are left with no choice, what I would suggest is for you to edit the ACL for all our extensions and go through them for the "Editor" group.

Yep, not feeling right for me either. But with JReviews it is not possible to let registered edit listings though it is moderated. Only editors can edit all listings and being moderated. But as long as I can just put all options within the components I think I am fine. I was just afraid of things that might change without having an option. I am just using Jreviews and all Stackideas components and try to prevent having more extensions.

Thank you so far Mark, I will go for it.

Hm, risky but I guess there is no harm trying. I am not entirely sure the reasons behind JReviews enforcing this but I guess the idea is to prevent site owners from creating havoc on their own site.

Perhaps you could suggest to Alejandro so that in the future, JReviews would have an option to edit moderated items as an ACL rule for each user group. This way it is more scalable in the future.

I think this could be prevented by having a history but since JReviews does not offer this, I have to go this way around. I think the problem is, that JReviews listings are Joomla articles and only editors can edit Joomla articles of other people. I will try it and see how it goes. If it might be interesting for other users in the future searching for it here in the forums, I will report later if problems occured.
