hi there,i have a cron job set up for easydiscuss on my site and until recently mails got sent out without a problem. However at the moment mails are stuck in the queue and not getting sent out. When i check the mail activity i see recent mails stuck with the pending/clock icon. However when i try to select only the pending mails i get a message that there are no ending mails ....?
Could this be the result of the recent upgrade to a newer version that I did? Or is anything else going on ?
Hello Julius de Kempenaer,

Okay Hmm, yes, that will overwritten your modification cron.php file when you update to latest version of Easydiscuss, if you have do the backup file about this cron.php file, you have try to replace it and see is it help?

Actually i remember i tested in your site and create a discussion post, the email notification is success to sent to my mail inbox. Actually what you issues right now?

Hello Julius,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have tested publishing a new discussion post in your site ( http://screencast.com/t/mTU5Uykm ), it seems like the mail activity showing sent out, see my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/NFrckNApi , and my email inbox received -> http://screencast.com/t/vKCy4AzeO

Maybe when you select the pending filter that moment, the pending email is it already sent out? Please advise.

Hi Arlex,

That happened very likely as i had switched on the "sent on page load option" to get the notifications out. I have now switched that off again, and mail is now again stuck in the queue. I checked with the hosting company (siteground) and the cron is running fine and triggered 2 times/ hour. Also the other cron job for akeeba backup is running fine once a day...

hi arlex i see you have posted another test post but the noifications for this post and a number of others are now stuck in the queue which is growing. I saw some notifications coming through sometime my afternoon around 16.30 CET. I assume this was you probably manually triggering something as nothing came through after that and the queue is now still filled. Do you want the messages to remain in the queue to troubleshoot or can i use the send on page load option to have messages sent out so users know that there are replies or new posts for them ?

Hello Julius de Kempenaer,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have found out some reason of this,
Example : If your pending email have 5 mail, then you click the last pages number 2( http://screencast.com/t/8xSe3mNSEkSf ), then select the "Pending" filter, that will show out " There are no pending emails in the queue. " because you at the second page and the pending email only got 5 mail (your site by default is 20 email per page), so it won't go through second pages. You have to select view "ALL" filter ( http://screencast.com/t/4pxAs1ze2 ) on the bottom button, then it will show all the pending email.

Also, i already help you enabled the option "Send email when the page loads" from your Easydiscuss backend setting.

hi arlex, i'm with you on the filtering. however i would like to switch off the send on page load and have the cron take care of it. It used to work fine but stopped... i think it happened after i upgraded to newest ED version. I remember vaguely there had to be some modifications to the cron.php file for it to work on SSL site with siteground. Is it possible that these modifications have been overwritten by update ?
