I am new to Easy Blog and am slowly getting it configured. Once feature we need to utilize is MailChimp. Your documentation states:

MailChimp
You could also use MailChimp to handle all email alerts that go out to your subscribers whenever new blogs are published. J!MailAlerts by TechJoomla works fine with EasyBlog to send out those alerts as well.

i have read in the forums and MailChimp does not actually handle any email alerts automatically (you stated something about v4.0 doing it). Is this correct? I have setup MailChimp and when a person subscribes, I get the double-opt in email from Mailchimp (and the email from EasyBlog). I confirm and the user shows up in MailChimp. I assume that if a blog entry changes, nothing is sent from MailChimp.

Also, what does the "Create Campaigns" option do when configuring the MAilChimp integration. I cannot seem to find any details for this option and have not seen anything get created in MailChimp.

Thanks.
Hello Scot,

We have actually added the ability to create campaigns (notify subscribers when a new blog post is created) in 3.9. Basically what create campaigns does is that when you post a new blog post, EasyBlog will create a campaign on Mailchimp and send it immediately . In other words, when a new blog post is created, the subscribers on your Mailchimp list would get notified.

Hello Scot,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply, got a little occupied with the development of EasyBlog 4. Yep, it will appear as a campaign on Mailchimp.
