I have found my API key in MailChimp
I have found my list ID in MailChiimp

Have put them both in my EasyBlog

I registered using the link to subscribe to my newsletter as a dummy registration.

I received the notification from MailChimp that I subscribed and to click the link to finish the subscription.

I received the notification from EasyBlog (which I wish I could turn off, but can't) that I subscribed.

When I went into MailChimp...my email wasn't on the list.

What am I doing wrong?
Hello Pam,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? Also, please provide us with your Mailchimp access as well to test this out.

Hello Pam,

If you post these access under the "Site Details" tab it is actually secure and only visible by us. If you are still afraid, you can always create a new ticket at https://crm.stackideas.com but you will need to explain the issue again because the helpdesk is worked by different team members and forums are different too.

Well....to make sure I was giving you the right info...I just logged into my MailChimp account. TODAY I see the subscriber that I tested. Yesterday, it was not there. Is there a reason why it took this long to display??? It seems to be working now

Hello Pam,

Hm, to be honest I am not really sure about this but you can try subscribing with a new email address, click on the confirm opt-in because Mailchimp uses a double opt-in system and see if the email is appearing in the list?

Yep, I just did that. Got the Mailchimp confirm email and clicked it. And it showed up! wooHoo

Now my next question. WHY do I receive both a confirmation email from MailChimp AND one from my website? How do I get rid of that one from my website so that my subscribers are not confused?

Hello Pam,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, yeah you are right. It looks like there's a bug here and this will be addressed in the next release.

To fix this, download the attached file and upload it into /components/com_easyblog/views/subscription/

Thanks.

I went to upload this to the folder you suggested...and received this message: It looks like it's already there...but not working to stop the double notifications...

The file “view.ejax.php” already exists on the server in the directory “/home/best2/public_html/components/com_easyblog/views/subscription”. It was last modified on “2/18/2015, 1:04:55 PM”.
Do you want to continue your upload and overwrite it?
