Hello,

We are using MailChimp to handle EasyBlog subscribers. Our requirement is depicted below -

1. We have multiple Blog Categories (EasyBlog)
2. Users can Subscribe to those Blog Categories
3. Whenever there is an blog update to Categories, users who have opted in for those Categories should receive an automatic email update via MailChimp

I hope this can be achieved using Mailchimp. Can some one let me know how to implement this feature?

Also, if there is an alternate technique (without using MailChimp), please do share them here.

Thank You in Advance!
Hello John,

Currently EasyBlog does not have specific mailing list based on categories but it's only possible to link to a single list on Mailchimp. Whenever a new user subscribes to the site, they are actually being added to the main list that you configured in EasyBlog's mailchimp integration area. When you create a new blog post, EasyBlog will then initiate the newsletter via Mailchimp to this list

Hello Mark,

Thank you for quick response.

Is it possible to implement the requested feature using any other technique (without using MailChimp)? may be using EasyBlog's built-in capability...

Because in EasyBlog we have an option where subscribers can subscribe to specific blog categories, kindly let me know how it can be done.

Thank You

Hello John,

Yep, if you are using the built in feature in EasyBlog, whenever a new blog post is posted in a specific category, it will notify users within the category and also the site wide subscribers as well.
