I have successfully setup the mailbox posting for easyblog and the email address is working properly. But the posting are not showing up on the blog.
The cronjob is also set and working.
I need help to figure out what I am doing wrongly.
Hi Alexandre Ndobe,

Seems like I have difficulties when accessing your backend as well front end where the site take too long to respond: https://www.screencast.com/t/jsUEQ9L0yQ
Can you please advise?

Hi Alexandre Ndobe,

Seems like I'm hitting the error below:
"email_import":{"status":200,"type":"info","message":"No emails found in mailbox."}

Perhaps, can you provide us with your webmail access so we can try run some test.

You can add the information needed by edit your first post in the Details section or you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

After troubleshoot this long hour ago, it seems like you hitting following error when it trying to connect with your webmail.

array(1) {
[0]=>
string(155) "Certificate failure for mail.mountolives.org: Server name does not match certificate: /OU=Domain Control Validated/OU=PositiveSSL/CN=server.ztfministry.org"
}

Can you consult with your webserver provider regarding this certificate stuff?

Even I disable the SSL option from Easyblog setting, it keep loading until hitting following timeout error.

Gateway Timeout

The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

Additionally, a 504 Gateway Timeout error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Theer mail server settings have been updated: server.ztfministry.org and there are emails in the mail box, yet, they are not being pulled. The run on EB backend says "successful", though.
Please i urgent need your help for this to work

Hello Alexandre,

It seems like previously you had the map e-mail address option shown here, http://take.ms/HLKTW enabled. This will enforce that the sender's e-mail need to exist in your list of users on your site. If the sender's e-mail isn't detected on your site, then it would discard it.

I have disabled this option and it seems to be picking up the e-mail now. Can you try sending an email to blog@ztfministry.org again?

By the way I am also suspecting that when the PHP script is starting a connection with the mail server, at times it would hit timeout. Not entirely sure why.

Many thanks Mark!
I have sent a post and it actually gets pull from the mail server, as well as the others.
The mail inbox shows that the emails have been read.
Nevertheless, they are not posted on EB. They instead posted as (empty) draft posts.

Hi Alexandre Ndobe,

Can we have a permission make some test post send to the mailbox? or perhaps you have test/staging site so we can troubleshoot there?

Hi Alexandre Ndobe,

After long way of debugging on this issue, seems like there is ACL permission conflict occur where:
1. You've set 'Associate Posts With User' (TANEE Samuel) https://www.screencast.com/t/ZcdW2Atacqc6 Do not have permission to publish a post (which mean this user blog post need to moderate by admin first) https://www.screencast.com/t/UTqYUmzkjM
2. You've set 'Publishing State' to 'published' where it fallback to the 1st point where this user cannot directly publish the blog post without permission by moderator.
May I know do you want this email publish by this user(TANEE Samuel) to be directly published to the site or you want the post to be in unpublished state before moderator 'check' the blog content?
If you want to the email fetch into the site under this user directly publish. I've suggest to you to change this user's ACL to the one that have permission to directly publish to the site. (for example to editor group)

Many thank Fadhli,
Now, what happens if i do not select any user to associate the post to?
In addition, what if I also check the option "Map E-mail Address To User's E-mail Address" in combination with the above?

Many thanks

Moreover, the post should appear under "pending" and not under "draft".
I gave the publisher rights to the user, and still, the pulled email post still goes under "draft"
Something strange is going on

Now, what happens if i do not select any user to associate the post to?

You need to associate to at least 1 author on the site with publishing / creating post rights.

In addition, what if I also check the option "Map E-mail Address To User's E-mail Address" in combination with the above?

By checking this option, EasyBlog will ensure that the post will be associated with the user account on your site (provided that their e-mail addresses matches)
