Dear Stackideas,

I have a problem with notifications being send via easyblog. When I post an answer to a blog i see it under email activity and it should send this out to the author or other responders or subscribers to the blogpost. However, it says "Item is currently not published". But it is published because i can see it on the website and comments in backend. Now it's not sending the mail.

Hey Gain,

It seems like you only configure the Easydiscuss cronjob, because different component have their own cron command need to setup.

Try copy with your existing cron command then add a new cron command and change com_easydiscuss to com_easyblog and see how it goes?

Can you assign this user account to have SuperAdmin privileges?

By the way, do you mean when you trying to comment on the blog post, the system didn't send out the email notification to subscribers or other member?

Yes for subscribers or people who allready have commented on the blog. Now there is one mail queed for the writer of the blog (me) but it doesnt send like easy discuss mail notifications are send. I've set up cronjob correctly i guess because easy discuss mail activity is good.

Also my mails are all going to the spam folder of peoples mail.. is there something to do about that? im using a not excisting mail adress (noreply@...) because i dont want replies.. could that be the reason?

may i know your server is it blocked other IP address to access in your site?

My host provider has granted access 2 weeks ago for mark because he had problems trying to access the website. Has your IP adres changed? Cause then i have to give my host the new IP adres to grant access.

I use Gmail and Hotmail. Both are going to spam. I shall try to set the sender email to an excisting email like info@.. maybe the spam servers are seeing that it doesnt exsist en therefore treat it as spam????

I believe that time I was at home, so the IP address is not unblocked from your Webhosting.
Now i access in your site without any issue at office.

That strange, perhaps you can try this reference link method and see how it goes?

Dear Arlex,

You can replicate the problem by commenting on a blog. It then should go under mail activity for other commenters and the author. But it says item is currently not published.

Regarding to updating EasyBlog. I saw that there were lots of problems on the forum so i decided to wait. I didnt make a backup yet, but if you think it will fix the problems its ok to try.

I have upgraded the EasyBlog Component to the latest version..

The problem with the comments is back again though Curious in my other post about this issue what your solution was.

Hi Gain,

I just tried to comment your blog post here, http://www.gainreaction.eu/index.php/blog/entry/when-anxiety-becomes-a-disorder and the email notification did get sent out after I've run the cron url manually as you can see from easyblog email activity page here, http://screencast.com/t/WyBu6DCx . May I know did you setup the cronjob correctly on your server? Perhaps you can provide us with cronjob access so we can check it directly from there.

I received an email from your comment on that blog so that worked good! Also My cronjob works fine with Easydiscuss the last time i tried.

I've setup Cronjob in my Cpanel.. see the attachement but access is difficult.. maybe you can take a quick peak at the screenshot i attached
