when I share an already published image (example on a page), the shared image is grainy (see attachment). Precise that it is a high resolution image. with the old version it did not happen.
Can you provide the link that you are trying to share here?

Looks like the problem is due to the way EasySocial is attaching the meta data for opengraph tags where it uses the thumbnail version instead of the large one. Can you download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/albums/albums.php and see if this works for you?

Ah okay, cool. Thanks for updating me on this. It is now using the "large" variant, http://take.ms/ac9w1 so it would not be pixelated.

Nope, it should work fine after you upload the file earlier.

This is because the source of the item (which I believe is K2) is using a small image, http://take.ms/scxH8 . This is the image that K2 is declaring for Facebook, https://www.edilsocialnetwork.it/media/k2/items/cache/7b0257640dc77a55cf753ae766e7db69_M.jpg

Hi Giacomo,

Can you provide your backend and ftp access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can check and see if we can do anything on our end?

Hey Giacomo,

This totally is not our issue, even Facebook also detected the way K2 extension pass into that og:image tag image size is too small, which not meet Facebook minimum requirement and caused that image not show properly in Facebook stream timeline as well.

But currently EasySocial do not have these restriction like Facebook, as long as that article page did pass in any image in that og:image tag, Easysocial will just display this image on the stream item.

After I check further K2 core code, it seems like K2 do have a setting to allow admin to set which image size to set into this og:image tag, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Perhaps you can give it try set it to 'large' or 'extra large' then share one of the new article link into Easysocial (this article link should never shared in Easysocial before because the previously you shared, it already stored that image link into database), i believe it will show properly image in the stream now.
