Hello,

Firstly, I apologise that I'm raising this issue on a Friday evening/Your Saturday morning.

Something has happened to my Main Menu during the last 2 updates to EasySocial. I've not been working on this so have only been able to raise this issue now, but it's still a problem with the latest release.

On PC and mobile devices, my bespoke side menu has disappeared and the generic side menu has replaced it. The Vanilla template is supposed to show a pop-out/sliding menu, similar to the top menu which is viewable on the PC version.
I've checked all settings I know of, but cannot work this one out.

It's affected:

Could you please take a look.

Thanks in advance
Hello Julie,

Can you please update to the latest version of Vanilla, 3.0.8 as we have addressed compatibility issues with EasySocial 4 in this release.

Hi,

I have updated the template and still can't see my menu when the screen size is reduced on PC OR on a mobile device.

First screen shot is from an iphone. Thats' not my menu. I have set it to show THE ARENA, EVENTS, COMMERCIAL CENTRE...

2nd screen shot shows it on a PC, if the screen size is reduced. It hides MY menu, sowing the mobile-device-style menu, but again,it isn't the menu I have set it to be.

3rd screenshot shows that on a mobile/reduced screen, the 3 lines to toggle on/off the menu has a cross through it.

Hi there,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused.

May I ask, do you have any screenshots of the previous state of your site so we can have a reference to assist you in fixing this issue.

Anyway, the menu on the sidebar is generated by this module (Vanilla Sidebar Module). I've enabled the previous module on your site for these sites and the sidebar is showing the menu correctly now. Please check out the attached screenshot.

https://www.masquerading.global/

May I know if this the correct sidebar menu previously enabled on your site?

2nd screen shot shows it on a PC, if the screen size is reduced. It hides MY menu, sowing the mobile-device-style menu, but again,it isn't the menu I have set it to be.

Can you test this again and let us know the width of the screen so we can further check on this.

3rd screenshot shows that on a mobile/reduced screen, the 3 lines to toggle on/off the menu has a cross through it.

I seems can't replicate this on your site. Perhaps, there is some cache. Kindly purge your site and browser cache and test this again.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hello Yasser,

My menu is back!!
Is it possible to hide the other items under the menu. I'd only like my menu showing, so everything from ACCOUT can be hidden.so ACCOUNT, DISCOVER and PREFERENCES.

I'm not sure hwo to explain the sizing of the screen, but... open the website on a PC, and you should see my menu along the top of the screen. When you resize the width of the screen, the top menu hides and the side bar menu three lines appear in the top left of the site. If you then click on these, my menu should have switched places and now appear at the top of THIS menu.

It's not. Please see the screenshot.

You can either do template override for Vanilla Sidebar Module or use the menu module and assign it to the position `sidebar`.

I would suggest you use the menu module and assign it to the sidebar position as it would solve both of your issues. I've helped you applied to this site: http://www.dev.masquerading.global/ Please take a look and let us know how it goes.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks :-)

I've checked what you've switched on but I can't recreate it on the LIVE site without getting little chevrons and I can't hide the other menu

Hi there,

You'll need to disabled the existing module (module vanilla sidebar) from position sidebar. Then, on the new menu module, you'll need to add the following menu class suffix to fix the chevron. Go to the advanced tab and add the following there. Please check out the attached screenshot.

nav-pills es-modules-sidebar-menu

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi,

I think I have done it all correctly - it seems to work (after a few tweaks to the menus) but the only one I'm struggling with it
http://www.MasqueradingPets.com

The site shows the menu, but the chevrons are just arrowheads, not solid, also there is a cross through the three lines on the side menu.

When I set the menu correctly on DEV.MasqueradingPets.com, it fixed these minor errors, so I know that when the menu is set correctly, it will correct the chevrons and the cross through the side menu link.

All sorted! Think it just needed time...unless one of you had just made an amendment without telling me
