My site lost all its front page modules and importing previous settings had little effect when I upgraded. Good thing I had a backup, but still disappointed nonetheless.

Is it really necessary for EB to create a new home page on every upgrade? Please, no?
Hi Sam,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I'm not quite sure what is the issues, perhaps you can provide us more elaborate details regarding this?

#1. How you often process the update to Easyblog new version in your site? (updater or download the launcher from dashboard)
#2. What do you mean lost the layout from the module? Is it your custom work get overridden?
#3. Do you mean all setting you set from the module, but after updated then all the setting revert back to original setting?

Looking forward of your response.

EB5 unpublishes my module posititions, slider preferences and basically deletes my home page and starts anew.

Hi Sam,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I have tried to replicate this issues in my locally, e.g. I created 3 Easyblog showcase module and i set different setting/module position/page display in each showcase module, after that update from 5.0.14 to 5.0.15,but it seems like work fine for me, it didn't auto unpublished module position or etc.

Can I have the permission to replicate on your site? If yes, can you do a backup on your site in case messed up something else.

When I upgraded to *.15, my home page was replaced and modules were unpublished, just as when I reinstall a site template. The site is offline and I have a backup. Yes, please go ahead.

Hello Sam,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Can you provide us with Joomla backend access and FTP access so we can test the issue directly on your site? Please advise.

Hi Sam,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Check my attachment screenshot at below.

Those file last updated at 11 July 2015 , then I try to download the launcher installer from my dashboard and install through in your Joomla installer, after updated again, it seems like it will not affected what you mentioned the issues at above reply. Can you give it a check now? Maybe I missing something here.

I found a workaround by creating a false home page that can be written over by the EB installation.
