Lost many categories configurations with the new Updates

Hello friends.
I do not want to be misunderstood
But the new EB updates have caused me inconveniences
I have lost many configurations with the new changes.
I have maintained a standard configuration for all categories,
Now I have to configure each category
Since using the control in 'Views' does not cover all the editing possibilities.

Firstly, I do apologize on behalf of the team for the inconveniences that we may have caused. This should have never happened in the first place.

However, your settings are not lost but there is a bug which we have already provided a quick patch on https://stackideas.com/forums/placeholder-image-in-5-1-6

There is a bug where the place holder always displays on the entry view and I believe this is why you are also having this issue. As I do not have the FTP access I can't upload the file. Could you please upload it and let me know how this goes?

If you want me to patch it for you, is it possible for you to provide us with the FTP access?

Hi Miguel,
The page I see from your screenshot is the entry page. The settings to configure this is located at Settings>Views>Entry Layout
As for categories, if you want them to inherit all the settings from the 'Views' section, remember to select the inherit option in the category configuration page(http://take.ms/agzaC).

If you look at Settings>Views>Entry Layout
'Show Post Image Placeholder' is disabled but still appears in the post ..In category [ID 4]
The example I sent you, neither is the category Default
The category [ID 89] is the Default.

Can you provide the url of the page where the image placeholder is displayed? I could not find the post with this issue.
