I've lost JCE on EasyBlog. I can switch editors via EB settings and all work except JCE.
Went into editor profiles, no luck.
Went into EB ACL, no luck.
Went into Joomla config, again no luck.
I had this problem just a few hours ago.... it seemed that messing with editor profiles got it back, but when I tried to post a link with a test registered member, it wouldn't link.
Switched frontend user to admin and lost JCE for all users access to JCE.
(It still is there for articles.)
Thanks for updating this Mark, glad that your issues are resolved now

Just as a follow up: I had a Akeeba backup copy from 1/28 and I built a site from that on a local server. All EB functions including JCE editor are working on the 1/28 built local site.
I bit the bullet and used that same copy to rebuild the live site. JCE is still not working on the live site, even from the known good Akeeba back up.
I'm going to have to say that my server is the issue, but I more than welcome you to visit the admin section to see if I might have missed something.

Going from bad to worse. Can't submit post with "any" editor. Tried a cut and paste of a post built on EB from another site. Either with JCE or Code Mirror...... it gets stuck at "Saving Post".

Getting fault code:

JSON.parse: expected ',' or '}' after property value in object at line 1 column 277 of the JSON data

Hey Mark,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I can't seem to access the site as I am hitting this error, http://screencast.com/t/o8o1ycGWhIn

Was in the process of rebuilding it. Removed all files. Installed new database and did a Akeeba reinstall.
Still have same issue. The address and login information are valid if you want to get in.

Hey Mark,

Hm, it seems to be working fine when I try to publish the blog post. Am I missing anything here?

I tried it one three computers. Cleared cache and history before testing. I get the entry block to post, but no editor. Can you give me a screenshot?

Same files, duplicate database....... I'm thinking server, but EB with JCE works just fine on another site on exact same Bluehost server.

Are you doing that from the front end or the admin side. It looks like the backend in the background. Try it from the site.... not the backend.
(I'd like to know how you got that from the admin side. I've never done that before.)

I have two networks at my house. I just tried a blog post on a laptop connected to the second network. Still no editor. Try a post after logging in to the frontend.

Okay managed to reproduce this error on your front end and I believe it could be due to your redirection rules because I noticed that there is this error message being generated on the console,

ReferenceError: WFEditor is not defined

Upon searching for this, I found this https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/referenceerror-wfeditor-is-not-defined . I also noticed that there are some redirection in the site. Could you try turning off those redirections?

OK.... you're not dealing with a developer guru. I'm assuming this is a hosting issue. Exactly what should I be asking them to do? I looked around on the internet..... none of what I'm seeing is making any sense to me.

I don't think this is a hosting issue. Did you add any redirects on your .htaccess file? Can you edit your first post to include the ftp access?

Also, does the editor work for you at the back end?

Wow...... One sentence on that link caught my eye.

JCE configuation: "Compress Javascript" it was set to "yes"..... when I changed to to 'no" ..... all is good.

I'll check in on the .htaccess tomorrow.

Try it on your end. I think that one setting fixed the problem.
