Hello before the Easy Social Update I had paid a web designer to create some customizations for me. After having issues installing the Easy Social Update and submitting a ticket someone on your support team installed it for me. Now I am visiting the new updated site and many of my customizations that I paid a web designer to create are now gone. Is there anyone who can fix this for me?
Hello Marqui,

It seems that the person who made the customization didn't use the joomla override. If that is the case, there is unfortunately no easy fix. I think that you should contact the person how did the customization and ask him the re-apply them but using the Joomla system override so changes will not be lost when updating your site. As this can be considered a mistake from his side, he shouldn't charge you for it.

Now if he did use the joomla override, then can't help you but I sure someone from the stackideas team will.

Hope this help!

What you could do,that I have done in the past is, have your hosting service reset your site back to a previous save point that is just before your update but after your custom work. You will loose the update but regain your customized work. At least at this point you can download your site files to save it. Then perhaps have the staff at Stack Ideas to look into the update process. Or have them look now so that they could compare it to the site files after you reset the site.

Hello Marqui McPherson,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Yes, if you didn't backup of your customization file before update, all your customization file will be override it, in other word all your customization code is gone.

But you can try Aikigi and Glen Peladeau suggested their ideas,
#1. Consult with your Web designer regarding this.
#2, Consult with your Webhosting provider and see is there a way can reset back to your customization file that moment file.

By the way, thanks for sharing Aikigi and Glen Peladeau
