Hi there , i've been testing my site and i have had a loop issue whenever i try to logout from my account . even after i click on logout on both the main menu and the side bar menu i configured, it seems to re-direct me to the same page i was logged into.

i have checked the backend to configure it to redirect to a different page, but it keeps showing me i am logged in again (e.g via the main page).

can someone help and advise how to address this issue ?

thank you!
Hi Alexander,

I'm not quite understand the main issue here, correct me if I'm wrong here, do you mean you have login in the homepage(login layout) and as you try to logout it will go to the login layout(your homepage) again? If yes,
Seems like you've configure the logout same as login: (settings>user>authentication) http://take.ms/zjMAd where your homepage is actually is login layout. As now you need to change the redirection of the logout to the page as you prefer.
Perhaps, I've misunderstand you here, can you explain more in details with some screenshot might help us a lot

Hello Fadhli

thanks for the prompt help, i have changed the pages routing in my site (e.g re-direction to a logout page/menu set) and also just tried again to logout but it keeps looping me back in as logged in.

those are the 2 menus screenshots where i have clicked on logout but it keeps automatically logging me back in even after i click logout.

i have a video attached for the scenario in mp4 format but i can't seem to attach it as it's not supported , so i have uploaded on my dropbox the file.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lmlqwpfnqz4a99n/Logout%20loop%20issue%20-%20mar%2018.mp4?dl=0

is there a way to prevent this from happening ? i suspect because my account is loggedin with FB , is that the case ? as i checked with a few of my other test users they said they could logout normally (their accounts are not linked with FB).

Also, quick check on how do i have the same views of the page on mobile and on desktop , as my mobile pages don't seem to show the other menu options , while the desktop one does for my website.

thanks

regards
alex

Hi alex,

Seems like you have set the logout redirection to the 'logout action' menu where basically the 'logout action' will redirect to login layout page. Perhaps, you can set it to the 'Latest Sports Headlines' menu.

Also, quick check on how do i have the same views of the page on mobile and on desktop , as my mobile pages don't seem to show the other menu options , while the desktop one does for my website.

I'm sorry, as I not quite get which menu that you referring to? is it the EasySocial main toolbar and the EasySocial menu module? If yes, you comparing with both module and main toolbar's dropdown menu, yes it is actually not same
