Long list of problems after Update to 1.3

Hi, so I updated to EasySocial 1.3 and now the following problems exist:

- Issue with birthday field (glitches and only has one option: the calendar option) instead of the drop down date option which is the one i had set before.
- Profile completeness bar stays at the top no matter what
- Can't add anyone to friends list. (says friends list is max even though i have it set to unlimited) *I already discovered all the rules.
- The profile cover is all messed up now. It shows it duplicated and off center. It also shows "loading cover... drag cover to re-position" every time you go to your profile page whether you did anything or not. It also doesn't allow you to change the cover or anything.
- The buttons on the profile are also messed up
- The stream only loads 4 items at a time even though i have it set to 15 items.

I feel like the new update is just ignoring all of my settings in the back-end for some reason.

There are also various other problems, but too many to worry about fixing. Thanks for trying with the new update but it looks like I'm going to have to restore my 1.2 Backup because there are just way too many problems to fix.. Idk what happened with 1.3 but it's pretty much bug heaven. Thanks anyway...

First of all let me apologise for the issues that you are facing. We are here to assist you the best we can.

1. The dropdown for birthday has been removed in favour of the calendar mode in order to standardise the input format.

2. Do you mean that if the profile is completed, the info bar is still appearing? Or do you mean you would like to turn this feature off? If so do head over to backend -> Settings -> User to turn this feature off.

3 & 6. Hmm this is weird. I can't seem to reproduce this on my development environment, hence there could be some data mismatch on your site. I will need to access your site to further debug this to provide you a conclusive answer.

4 & 5 This could be a CSS conflict issue with your template as we changed a few things around since 1.2 (especially on the dom and classes we use). For this I will also need to look at your site and inspect the DOM in order to provide you a conclusive answer.

Thanks for the offer but I rather have the drop down birthday type. That's the best one, options shouldn't be removed, the more options we have the better.. I'm already in the process of restoring back to 1.2, but thanks for your attempt.

Hello All,

I am having similar issues with the upgrade:

Profile completeness bar shows profile is incomplete even after after completing and getting confirmation that the profile is complete. Once you go back to view the profile, the incomplete bar shows up again.
Profile avatar is very small and the cover picture is continuously saying "loading cover" and has a progress bar as well as an option to reposition cover. This is also happening when you visit a friend's profile (avatar very small and cover pic is repeating itself as well as in a state of being loaded with an option to reposition the FRIENDS cover pic) It is very strange.
I'll help you to debug by giving some login details and FTP access as if this is happening to myself and the original poster then it must be something to look at fixing. I have loaded the site to a test subdomain (thankfully I didn't update to my live site yet :-P )

Hi Steven,

1. I've identified the issue of profile incompleteness. Have also made the patch on your test site as well. User will have to "save" their profile once more for it to take effect.

2. I can't seem to log in to the test site with the credentials provided.

I am also getting the Loading cover issue: coinvalues.com/community/profile/joshua-mcmorrow-hernandez

I have cleared browser and ES cache.

[EDIT] Issue magically disappeared. Must have been some cached CSS or JS somewhere. ES 1.3.2 [/EDIT]

Hi,
there is still only the calendar version that wouldn't be a problem for me but I cannot step years only months. Going back 40 years in months 40x12 klicks that hurts.
I know, users could type it as well, but most of them not so educated, I am happy if they can chose.

Please, give back the select list or make calendar year steps.

I admit that for myself it's not a big issue, however I do believe it could be re-evaluated some day. Perhaps the year ought to be separated from the calendar picker? Or the year could allow one to type it in considering that it's much easier to type "1962" than it is to activate the decade navigator and then scroll over to it.
