Hi! Is it possible to confure the read more button so people have to log in? I would like to show a preview of a blog, but when people want to read more they have to log in.
Yes, that is possible to achieve this, in this case you can use following 2 method :

- make sure you have enabled this setting ->http://take.ms/NQOCK

1. you can add read more block into your blog content, so it will only show 1 part of that blog content on the listing page.

2. Or you can enable the truncation setting from backend -> http://take.ms/9hoCy

Hope this will help.

Hey Collado,

It seems like it is using the alias of "manage" and I believe that the "manage" menu is actually set to "Registered only". This is why, it is requesting you to login.

You need to create a hidden menu item which links to the frontpage blog layout in EasyBlog and make sure that the menu is set to "Public"

That is not the case and everything is set to public. I created a new menu item calls news under the main menu home:

Titlehttps://www.hispanicsocietyfdny.com/en/news and the same issue occurs. I have "login to read more" disabled

I am using grid layout and not frontpage layout so why do i have to create a hidden menu item for frontpage blog layout

Please provide us with the back end access to the site so that we can review the setup for you.

Hey Collado,

This ticket is actually opened by someone else and you shouldn't post your password here as the ticket creator would be able to view it. I have removed it and you should change the password for the user account now. In the future, you should place your site access at https://stackideas.com/dashboard/site

I have configured EasyBlog so that it uses the menu id of "101" on your site which is your home page menu item and the links are now working correctly. Since you do not have any menu items linked to the frontpage layout of EasyBlog (not the magazine or grid), it picks up the "Manage" menu and since that menu item is set to "Registered", this is why Joomla is requesting you to login.

As for the error that you are getting with the maintenance, you can ignore that as that maintenance section shouldn't need to be accessed by you since it is already executed during the install / upgrade.
