Can someone suggest a good login module for me?
Why don't you use the EasySocial login module

Hi Mark

Do you mean the one that's on the dashboard page? If so I need it on my home page, I guess I could use that one on my home page but it'll mess up the design flow I need something a little
smaller. Preferably one I could use in my templates main menu header, the one I'm using now actually doesn't work on the mobile version it doesn't let anyone sign in.

As of ES 1.2, I am able to place my login form module on every page of my site. See it in action here (above the main menu).

The name of the module is "EasySocial Login" which you should already have on your site. Be sure to set the "Module Style" to "Horizontal". If you want the hinters to be question marks like mine, I had to use two language over rides which I can give you the constants if your interested.

Here is how to do this in 5 steps:

1. Go to mysite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_languages&view=overrides (replace mysite with your real site name).

2. Near the upper left side you will see the New button (green), click it.

3. In the language constant put in this value (without the quotes) "MOD_EASYSOCIAL_LOGIN_FORGOT_PASSWORD_HORIZONTAL". In the text area put in a question mark. Hit save.

4. Once your back to the main language over ridge page again, click the new button again.

5. Put in the following language constant "MOD_EASYSOCIAL_LOGIN_FORGOT_USERNAME_HORIZONTAL". Then put in the question mark for the text field.

This ought to make the forgots changed to question marks.

Thank you Josh:)

I have one question for Mark or support, How come my CSS changes don't apply on my home page for the Easy Social Login Module but they do on the Dashboard page? And How can I fix it? I'll provide my site info in case it's needed. See screenshots. And can you please tell me how to direct the login to my users profile page?

Hello Antonio,

I believe your css hacks are only applied on specific pages (certain css files are not loaded on the other page I believe)

Hi Mark

I used firebug to do the hacks for that specific page and when i put it in it didn't work. I did it like i done all my other CSS changes. I'll try again

I investigated earlier and came to the same conclusion as Mark. I didn't reply because I was not sure what was actually going on behind the scenes. The classes between the pages (of the elements) are exactly the same too.

Hello Antonio,

I think you should place css hacks in your Joomla's css file. This way, every page would inherit the same

If there is concern for template upgrades removing your code, you could always use the Custom CSS module. I use it for certain cases and is especially nice when you only want specific menu items to have styling.

The cool part about modules like that are that you can hide specific items on specific menu items without hacking anything! So for example my site is a wiki site (content versioning and the ACL make this possible) which I might not want my users to be able to edit the title of wiki articles, but at the same time allow them to edit non wiki article titles. This way page titles can't be hijacked and personal pages can be changed freely.

So in short it allows for very specific things to be done.
