I created a profile on my site to test out how it looked once I was logged in and to test the new registration process. I successfully completed the registration forms and I even got an email with my login information. However, now when I'm using that login information to login to my site it says that the username and password do not match or I do not have an account yet.

I checked the users section in Joomla and it has me registered properly as a user.

Any thoughts why this is happening?

Thank you
Hello Ashley,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Something interesting happened. I definitely double checked the password I was entering against the password that was sent to my e-mail from registration, and I had it correct. But I tried the "forgot password" link anyways. It sent me an email to reset my password, and the new one let me log in. I just want to make sure that this isn't a problem that any of my users will experience. I was the first one to go through the registration process for EasySocial because our other users just had their jomsocial profiles and logins transferred over. I attached the administrator login for Joomla and our godaddy login that holds our FTP files.

Hi Ashley,

Regarding your issue, it was caused by Joomla the user plugin did not save the setting correctly thus when user registered at your site, Joomla did not generate correct password The solution is to go to your Joomla user plugin and do a save I already did this for you and now when someone register at your site, they should be able to login without any issue

Please verify again

Hope this help and have a nice day
Sam

Sam, could you help me reset the plugin thing again? Our site crashed and we had to sort of start from scratch (we learned a big lesson in doing more frequent backups!). I had to register again because none of that was saved, and the same thing happened again where it said the password wasn't correct.

Thanks!
