I think I must have set an option somewhere to only make easysocial links usable to only registered users, but I can't find the place to change the setting for some reason and I feel as if I have looked everywhere.

The result of this is if a user is not logged in they can't use many of the things that are linked to easysocial. I mean, if they click on an easysocial link, it will generate a redirect error. Once a user logs in, everything is fine until they try to log out. Clicking any link within easysocial that would enable someone to log out is generating a ridrect error message and everything stops.

Here is the redirect error I see in Firefox, however it does pretty much the same in IE too.

Hello Larry,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. The reason that you are getting infinite redirections is probably because after logging out, your menus on the site are all set to "Registered Only". This was probably what is going on in the site:

1. All menus were set as registered
2. Upon logging out, joomla detects that your current menu is set to registered only.
3. Joomla tries to redirect to their own login page.
4. EasySocial system plugin intercepts this, and redirects to it's own login page.
5. Because all menus from EasySocial is set to registered only, Joomla then redirects it again and it goes back to step #3

To fix this, you have 2 ways of doing things:

1. Ensure that after logging out, the user would be redirected to a menu item that is public.

or

2. Create a hidden menu to the login view of EasySocial and set that menu as public.

Mark:

Thanks for the response. The fix was pretty easy . . . All I had to do is change the setting of "system-easysocial" plugin and everything is working fine. You can check out the image attached.

Love the products and if I need any further support, I will let you know and thanks again for your assistance.
