This is a new topic based on this thread (https://stackideas.com/forums/mobile-app-update).

As discussed in that thread, a problem exists where mobile users of our site will appear to be logged out when they are in fact currently logged in to the site. This can be replicated by logging in, switching to another site in the mobile browser, then returning to our site. The docker bar will give the appearance that the user is not logged in. However, simply clicking the 'home' button in Docker then shows the user logged in.
To further clarify, users will login on mobile (Docker or ES form and check the box 'keep me logged in.)

Then, 1 of 2 things will happen:

1) They will close the mobile webpage, then navigate back to the mobile webpage and it will show they are not logged in.

or

2) It will show they are logged out according to Docker, but if they click the home icon, it will show they are still logged in.

These results occur after:
1) Closing mobile webpage
2) Any amount of time passes (Joomla user session is 10,080 minutes)
3) Opening an email alert
4) Opening a home screen app bookmarking EasySocial

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

I've tried to troubleshoot this issue, but suddenly i can't replicate this issue in my Android phone, it seems like it load correctly when I switch off those browser app from the device then open that browser again, you can check my video below.

I haven't test on iPhone device yet is because now I do not have any iPhone device, i need to borrow my colleague iPhone device to test on this again tomorrow when i at office.

Perhaps you can try clear your browser cache then try again and see how it goes.

Keep us update if the issue still persists.

Thanks, Arlex.

95% of our users are iPhone users and all of them describe the two issues (having to re-login or docker showing they're logged out.)

*I can send you a video if you can recommend a video recording tool for phone.

Users have re-started their phones, closed browsers, closed cache and still have to login usually when getting an email alert or opening the bookmarked home screen icon.

We have about 2,000 users and they report it quite frequently.

*Will you check to see if you're still logged in in 4 - 24 hours? Our Joomla session time is 10,080 minutes and every single user is logged out after a day or so.

Here's one piece of information for you -

If the user has bookmarked our EasySocial stream webpage while being logged in, then if they click the home screen icon, it will show they're logged in (or docker shows logged out, but they are truly logged in.)

But if they open a new safari browser and type any bSmartGuide.com url (besides their logged in user URL) and then navigate to the stream, they are logged out with ES login form showing.

Does this help trouble shoot?

One more piece of information for you Arlex,

Close all browsers or windows.

1) Click on an email notification that will open an EasySocial page. Are you logged in when you navigate from an email notification?

Close all browsers or windows.

1) Click this url bSmartGuide.com. Then click menu option 'Connect.' Are you still logged in or do you have to login again when navigating to the ES Stream within our URL?
