Hi.

Please look at the link. The location suggestion feature does not appear in the Easy Blog. I think it happened after the time out. Upon logging in to continue, there were also JSON errors and the previous half-edited blogs could not be saved.

Even after I have restarted the computer, these location suggestions still do not appear.

Regards,
Irwin
Hi Irwin,

Do you mean access this page as you mentioned at above?
-> https://weboostermarketeers-gmail.tinytake.com/sf/MjM1NDQwXzE0NTMzNzE

If yes, I hitting this : We're sorry, but something went wrong (500).

However, check my attached screenshot below, do you mean this location suggestion is not working on your site?
If yes, is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can take a look of this issues?

Hey Irwin,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

That was strange because the server return empty value, can you provide us with your FTP access as well?

Also can I have permission to help you update to latest version of Easyblog? If you have do some customization please backup these files first.

Here are the details.

Cheers.

Hey Irwin,

I have been testing this on your site and I can't seem to reproduce this issue. Tested this over a dozen times and the location always suggests places for me as you can see from my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/p9zSDsXRHT

Not really sure how to reproduce this error on the site

Hi Mark.

It's a bit 'cuckoo'. Sometimes it works and sometimes it recovers, and then not work after some time.

I think this happens when ....

1. Open a new post window which appears on your browser. Just type something but do not update.
2. Wait for the logout timeout (or accidental loss of internet connection).
3. Log in again using a 2nd browser or on another tab. This is because sometimes you need to go away and come back later to continue on the post but it exceeded the timeout.
4. Now try the location bar on the first browser and update it.
5. Open a new post either on the first or second browser. This time the location bar gives a blank.

Check the link. If you can't view, then perhaps you need to copy and paste onto the browser.

Hi Mark.

For the past two weeks that I've been doing the data entry, it's actually happening on a daily basis, the last issue happened less than 10 hours ago. Usually I wait till the next day before the location option is back to normal.

No worries. I will just make do with it for the time-being. I'll post the blogs and if the location thingy causes problems, I'll just key in the location later.

Hey Irwin,

Hm, I am just wondering if your "session" has already timed out and you are actually being logged out from the site (based on your input here). How about trying to increase the session life time in Joomla's Global Configuration and see if it is doing any help at all?

Hey Irwin,

I really have no idea how to reproduce this on your site. Perhaps if you could add me on Skype, marklee_777 and when it happens, setup a team viewer so that I can take a look at this.

Hi Mark.

When is it a good time to skype your team? Before noon today?

I am still facing this location problem on a daily basis.

Regards

Hi

Switching to Google Maps instead of Google Places seem to work. However, I don't understand because it's not possible to hit the default free 1000 request/24 hours quota,

I have enabled billing account for the Google Places API for web services so Google has upgraded to the free 150000 requests/24 hours quota. Let's see how it works out.

Thank you.

Sure, let me know how this goes Irwin However, I do suspect that this issue is caused by the 24 hours limitation quota.
