For some reason the location is not working in EasySocial. When I click on Detect My Location, nothing happens. I have checked EasyBlog and that works when adding a location to a post.

They are both using the same Google Maps API. I have checked my Browser and it is set to Allow location tracking for my site.
Hi Aaron,

I have checked your site and found out that you put the API key in Google Maps setting. I suggest you to remove it and don't forget to save the key first just in case if you need to use it. Try to check this and see how it goes
Component -> EasySocial -> Setting -> Location Service -> Google Maps

That worked. Why is there a field for a Google Maps API if it is not needed for the location service to work. Am I missing something.

Thanks for the help.

Hey Aaron,

There is actually a bug as it really shouldn't be needing the API key if you are using Google maps. API key is only necessary for Google places
