It seems like Google return this error on the site, i suspect your current API is not activate yet.

The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/static_maps_backend?project=_

Can you try create a new Google Static map API and see how it goes.

1. Access this page https://console.developers.google.com/cloud-resource-manager
2. Create a new project
3. After create a new project > click on that humburger menu icon > APIs & services > Credentials (screenshot : http://take.ms/hK2RQ )
4. Click on Create credentials button > choose API key > then click close button
5. Access this page https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
6. Click "GET A KEY" > choose your project > click "ENABLE API" > Copy that API key
7. Paste into your site backend > Easysocial > setting > general > location > Google Map API key

Hello Alex
My google map api is working in the maps module in the footer but not in easyblog ( i have used the same api)
In the mean time I would like to disable the map in the bottom of the blogs however while I have disabled the map both under location settings and entry layout itis still showing?

See attached images

Thanks

Based on what i checked, what that module used that API key is AIzaSyDWq5nI1eBzQnupCQLWqOedqfsiH6Yi5tI not your current Easyblog MAP API AIzaSyA6vhZ2uMhLDz0RnCvF8f4rYcO3G_Kz9h0.

I can confirm this API AIzaSyA6vhZ2uMhLDz0RnCvF8f4rYcO3G_Kz9h0 is not activate from your Google account because that error what i posted in earlier is not generated from us, it actually generated from Google.

Since you check everything is seems fine for this API AIzaSyA6vhZ2uMhLDz0RnCvF8f4rYcO3G_Kz9h0 , I've help you updated use that module MAP API into Easyblog setting, it seems that location map shown properly now, you can check it now.

By the way, i already made this thread to private since i sharing some sensitive data in my reply.
