Hi,

I am trying to get the location service within ES working - added the same Google Maps API Code like I did for EasyDiscuss. For Easydiscuss it is working fine, for ES I cannot get it working. Maybe you can give me a hint.....

Thanks for your support.
I found the solution of the issue in this thread:

https://stackideas.com/forums/location-does-not-work-properly

ED and ES location service does not work with restrictions - ED does.

Hi there,

May i know whether this issues already resolved for you? If not, it would be best if you can provide us with your Google maps access credentials for us further check on this issue.

Please advice.

Hi,

the issue is solved - if there is no restriction setting for the Google Maps project. If there are restrictions saved only the location service included in ED is working fine.

Hey Horst,

Yep, that is correct because when restrictions are enabled, Google will check the referrer of the script. Some browsers have referrer disabled and this will cause issues

Hey Horst,

If I recall correctly, EasySocial uses javascript to load the google maps API dynamically unlike EasyDiscuss where we actually insert the html codes to render the google maps library. This is probably why the "referrer" checking failed.
