HI,
which are the third part cookies that are used by ES and EB?

ES depend on API and EB on social integration? Can I have a list?
Tnx
Danilo
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Do you mean you would like to know how Easyblog, Easydiscuss and Komento integration with Easysocial? Or you would like to which 3rd party app can integration with Easysocial?

Hi Arlex,
in EU we must tell to users which 3rd party cookies we use on website. Mine is done with ES2 and EB.
On ES2 I config API for FB, Youtube, Tweeter
For both social integration as it is.

tnx

Hello Danilo,

EasyBlog uses sessions for tracking hits while EasySocial uses session to store the users registration details when they are registering. Other that that, it doesn't perform any other tracking.

You might also want to note that as soon as the user logs into Joomla / EasySocial, Joomla would automatically generate a cookie for the user.

HI Mark,
for internal cookies there is no problem: I have just to say that I use cookies for user experience and store data, for 3rd party I must say all 3rd party and give relative link to cookie policies. Using firebug I didn't see cookies for Facebook or tweeter but I'm not so technical expert.
Am I right?
Tnx

If I recall correctly, Facebook and Twitter does generate cookies when you try to authenticate with your account. For instance, if your authors are setting up auto posting on the front end.

Otherwise, if the auto posting is only configured at the back end, then only the account used to configure would have cookies from Facebook and Twitter.

I would believe so because upon clicking those sharing buttons, users are directed to the respective social sites and not on your site. Even if they are collecting those data, I believe Facebook and Twitter needs to display these messages on their sharing popups?
