Hi

I have a sticky ("featured") post showing on some categories. The text of that post has a couple of links. I use BB editor.
When the post is displayed at the top of a category, the links are not rendered and show as raw BB code:
...ticket-based [url = https://**********.com/helpdesk]helpdesk system[/url] which should be...

See screenshot: http://take.ms/XbIxJ

What can be done to fix that?

Hi Weeblr ,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Hi

No sorry, that's a live site, and the problem is really simple to reproduce.

Are you saying you cannot reproduce this and that for you this doesn't happen?

Hi Weebir,

Sorry for late reply to this,

I've checked in my locally, it seems like there was a bug, we will try to fix this in next release version, can you temporary use JCE editor and see how it goes?

Hi

Yes, switching to JCE allowed me to redo the links and the tags are now properly removed. Don't have time to configure a JCE profile now for users, so I'll leave the BB code editor on, it's unlikely they'll have links on their posts.

Thanks and regards

Actually I just check back this morning, and the new links are visible again! probably because I turned BBCode back on, because I don't want want JCE to load for all users and do a custom profile.

I've put links and text of the post under the site details tab

Hi Weeblr,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Actually you can set which user group user have the permission to use JCE editor from your site.

By the way, I've tested in you provided that content, it seems like it display nicely for me. But what I noticed is you should put full URL like http://domainname.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog <-

Yes, that's not the problem at all. Look at my first screenshot: http://take.ms/XbIxJ

I am talking about "Featured" posts. When they are displayed as Fetured, on other pages. Just look at the screenshot.

Also, I don't use full URLs: here is the post original text in the backend: http://take.ms/nC3Nz

ok, I understand what's happening now, but I'm not sure this is normal.

The problem is that links have to be fully SEF links, ie: url=helpdesk is ok, while url=index.php?option=com_content&view=article.... doesn't work and is displayed as is, with the [ url ] tags showing.
So if you use JCE and insert links, you may have a problem.
What do you think?

Spoke too fast. url=helpdesk doesn't work, it just goes to "helpdesk", ie to nowhere. Indeed, you must have a full url like https://domain.com/helpdesk.

That's quite limitating, but I take there's no other way right?

Hi Weebir,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Unfortunately there is no other way to work around this if you just insert url=helpdesk or url=index.php?option=com_content&view=article

Unless you put this full URL in the content -> https://domain.com/helpdesk
