Hi,

When posting/sharing a video, it's automatically set as as linked video (cool).

However, if you want to use a module to show trending videos (EasySocial Videos Module), it only shows the videos posted as videos and into a category.

I would be cool/practical if posting video urls (YouTube for example) would automatically be posted as real videos like the post video function or, if the videos posted as links would appear in the module (there's an option to show both). I tried setting the module to show both but it doesn't.

Either way, it's cooler when even links are posted as videos not just links (Facebook does this automatically)

Danny
Hey Danny,

Can you check my attached screenshot below is it you referring this?

If yes, it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this in our voice page -> http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial , so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

Not sure what you mean by your screenshot.

Please allow me to re explain

Currently, in EasySocial, you can post (1) "video links" or (2) "links as videos". The first posts a small thumbnail with an intro text, the second posts a full width video image. Facebook treats both the same.

In my case, I would like an option to choose format (1) or (2) when posting the video link instead of habing to choose the format beforehand.

Also, the module that display's videos from the streams doesn't actually post the ones that are in format (1) "video links"m it only posts videos from (2) "links as videos", even if you select the option to display both.

Hope this is a bit more clear ?

And yes, I can post this as a feature request. I just wanted to make sure this didn't already work somehow ?

Thanks
Danny

Oh I think I understand what you mean now, do you mean these format (1) "video links is not populate in the video module right even you set show both type of the video?

If yes, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on this?

Also can you provide us some of the video page which video is not populate in the module as you mentioned in your previous reply?

By the way, in the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site.
