I have enabled the LinkedIn share app on my site. I have checked my Client ID and Secret and entered them into the Easy Social area of the site.

I log in as a Basic member my own account.
I have already connected my ES account to LinkedIn
I have created a discussion board post.
I now try to share that post by clicking on the LinkedIn share button.
I get the error message in the picture

Admin backend - I went to admin backend and checked the EasyD Autoposting option and when I clicked on LinkedIn I got a error in the picture. All other autopost options pages displayed no problem (if I wanted to use).

I saw this on the LI Developers web pages and not sure if this is relevant.

When you click on the share button on the Discussion page, it actually not related with the Easysocial.

I've tested on your site, it seems like that share pop up generate the correct content for me, you can check my screenshot here : http://take.ms/L9j54

based on what i see your screenshot, it seems like something it unable to retrieve the current page URL, perhaps you can share with me which page URL you trying to click on that Linkedin share button so i can better have a check this again.

It seems like you hitting this following error, can you update your correct FTP server access at your first post so we can better have a check?

Fatal error: Cannot unset $this in ../administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/includes/oauth/consumers/linkedin/consumer.php on line 194

OK thanks a lot. What was the issue?

I will do some more testing of it tomorrow.

I have tried it off my laptop at home and will try it from a desktop in the office tomorrow.

Great. I cleared my cache and it worked as a share.

1 issue now that I can share is how do I put a picture in my post that then appears in the LinkedIn share?

If you look at the image I have a picture in the original blog article and nothing shows in the LI share?

Another question is how do I set the layout alignment around the picture?

I suspect Linkedin already cached this blog post that time you haven't include the image on this blog post, this is why when you share this blog post in Linkedin, it doesn't populate that image.

So far what i tested other social media like Facebook and Twitter, these 2 social network do have their own debugger tool so it can allow user to clear their blog post cache from they server, but Linkedin i still haven't see they got build any debugger tool yet.

Meaning to said, you have to wait for their server automatically clear the cache after 7 days.

Maybe you can try this method and see whether can work, but just i did tried, it seems not work.

Actually you have to set it from the media manager when you insert the image, you can check my attached screenshot below.
